Folder Properties
Some customizations for folders can be made through the Properties window. The properties window allows setting options like tagging, file type restrictions, indexing options, and other configurations. The folder customization process can be performed as follows:
-
Tags: Tags can be assigned to files and folders added to the folder. Tags help categorize files and folders for better organization.
-
Restrictions: The file types that can be added to the folder can be restricted, and a maximum file size limit can be set. This ensures that only specific file types can be added to the folder.
-
Metadata: If additional information or a form needs to be filled for files and folders added to the folder, a form relationship can be established through this section. Only metadata-type process forms can be selected. You must also choose which fields in the form will be used. By default, the metadata form from the repository or parent folder is selected. If you want to define a folder-specific metadata form, disable the "Inherit from Parent" option and proceed with the configuration.
-
Indexing Options: A processor for indexing the content of files in the folder can be selected. Options like Apache Tika, Azure Cognitive Computer Vision OCR, and Text processors can be used. By default, the indexing settings from the repository or parent folder apply. Disabling the "Inherit from Parent" option allows you to define folder-specific indexing.
-
New File Operations: When a new file is added to the folder, a workflow can be triggered. This workflow can automatically initiate specific processes.
